The variety forms a rosette of hairy leaves and flowering stems 60–80 cm tall. The roots have an elongated cylindrical shape with pointed tips, reaching a length of 20–25 cm. The surface is covered with a thin but firm black skin, underneath which lies firm, crisp white flesh.

The plant belongs to the winter radish group, which is sown from May to August, with harvesting occurring approximately two months later. The variety possesses frost resistance and is suitable for long-term storage in cool conditions. Taste qualities are described as pungent, yet milder compared to round winter varieties.

This variety is widely used in cooking fresh or as a condiment, and is also applied in traditional medicine. In international practice, it often serves as a reference sample as a diploid type.
