The Neptun variety is a white radish-shaped root vegetable of the rettich or daikon type. The length of the fruit is about 25–30 cm, and it is characterized by the presence of only a small number of thin lateral roots.

The plant is not suitable for cultivation in soils infected with Verticillium. The variety is characterized by a low tendency to form hollows or sponginess of the flesh.
