The variety features rapid green mass development, effectively suppresses weeds, and has a taproot that penetrates the soil to a depth of up to 180 cm. This contributes to the improvement of soil structure, as well as its air and water permeability.
The plant is valued for its ability to accumulate organic matter, prevent nitrogen leaching during the winter period, and protect the soil from erosion. Cold hardiness is rated at 5 points and drought tolerance at 7 points on the originator's scale.
The recommended seeding rate is 18–25 kg/ha with a seeding depth of 2–3 cm. The optimal period for sowing falls within the interval from the beginning of August to the beginning of September.
