The variety has a compact growth habit and is distinguished by abundant flowering. The flowers are light lavender-purple in color, with a darker stripe running along the center of each petal.

The plant's stems are characterized by a very strong tendency for a pronounced red margin to appear along the edges of the segments. The variety is intended for use as a decorative houseplant in pot culture.
