The variety EVITA is a clone of Easter cactus. When the room temperature increases from 18°C to 24°C, the plant shows a shortening of the opening period of the last buds. The total lifespan of the plant under experimental conditions was up to 40 days, with the longevity of individual flowers increasing at lower temperatures.

There are diploid and cytochimeral clones of this variety, with the flower longevity of the cytochimeral clone being significantly lower. Flowering of the variety depends on the photoperiod and temperature conditions for the initiation of the process.
