The variety belongs to the species Rhipsalidopsis gaertneri (synonym Hatiora gaertneri). It is characterized by the presence of purple-colored flowers. From a genetic perspective, it is a diploid clone (n = 11) and is classified as a self-incompatible variety.

The plant is intended for ornamental pot cultivation. The variety has been actively used in scientific experiments to study sensitivity to ethylene, as well as the influence of temperature factors on the physiology of flowering and the longevity of flowers in the post-production period.
