The variety Thoranne belongs to the group of decorative cacti of the genus Rhipsalidopsis (Easter cactus) and is characterized by blush-red flowers. The plant is included in the list of commercially available varieties of the species Rhipsalidopsis gaertneri.

The variety is intended for commercial production. When using 8 cm pots, the period from cutting to product readiness is about nine months. The plants are suitable for sale in retail chains during the period from January to June.
