The Rhipsalidopsis hybrid, known as «Thorgloria», belongs to the Cactaceae family and, in modern taxonomy, can be considered part of the Hatiora genus. The plant's stems consist of medium-sized segments having a narrow base and an expanded upper part.

On the edges of the segments, there are areolas, four on each side, equipped with thin light-brown bristles that are most pronounced at the tips. The color of the flowers varies from pale to saturated tones.
