The Albatros variety, also known as Witte van Huisman, belongs to the currant crop. In agronomic publications, it is more often classified as white-fruited rather than red-fruited.
The variety is mid-season. During trials, large berries and long clusters were noted, however, the variety's yield was relatively low compared to some other varieties. Detailed characteristics of bush height and disease resistance are not provided in the sources.
