The variety «Blanc transparent» (also known as «Transparent White») is an old French variety, the description of which is found in historical catalogs of the mid-19th century. Despite being included in some Russian-language databases as a red currant, the variety name traditionally refers to a white currant due to the light, almost amber shade of the berries.
The plant forms long clusters with large fruits possessing high flavor qualities. According to VNIISPK data, the variety exhibits resistance to Septorialeaf spot.
