Britania bushes are characterized by intensive growth and a tendency to form drooping branches, which is why they are often grown in standard form. The variety belongs to the historical category, mentioned in pomological literature since the end of the XIX century.
The fruits are large in size and golden-yellow in color; their ripening occurs in the second or third ten-day period of July. The harvest is intended primarily for fresh consumption.
A key feature of the variety is a very high susceptibility to American gooseberry mildew, which in modern conditions limits its use in professional horticulture.
