Variety description

The variety belongs to the floribunda group and is known under the trade name Rusticana (breeding number MEIlena). There is also a separate climbing form, Rusticana Climbing, with the registration code MEIlenasar.

Flowers 8 to 10 cm in diameter have an orange or orange-red color and possess a fruity fragrance. The bush is upright; a characteristic feature is the tendency of the shoot bark to peel with age.

The variety is used as an ornamental shrub. During cultivation, the possibility of the plant being affected by powdery mildew is noted.
