The variety belongs to the hybrid tea rose group and is also known under the commercial name "Bernard Hinault". The plant forms a compact shrub 90–100 cm tall; stems typically produce a single bud. Flowers are deep yellow, goblet-shaped, and have a fragrance with notes of tea rose and lemon.

The variety is remontant. It possesses good resistance to powdery mildew and black spot; resistance to rain is moderate. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zone 6, withstanding temperature drops down to -23°C. The plant is used in decorative gardening and for cutting.
