The variety belongs to the Rosa rugosa hybrid group and is a spreading, strongly branching shrub 0.7 to 1.0 m tall. The plant's shoots are heavily thorny; the leaves are small, dark green, glossy, with a distinct rugose texture.

The violet or dark purple flowers reach 6–8 cm in diameter. They are double, contain 20–25 petals, possess a strong fragrance, and are gathered in inflorescences of 5–9 flowers each. Flowering continues from mid-June to late autumn.

The variety is remontant and is distinguished by its ornamental quality due to the simultaneous presence of flowers and fruits on the shrub. The plant is resistant to weather conditions, but requires protection from aphids and regular watering during hot periods to prevent leaf yellowing.
