The variety is a vigorous upright shrub 90 to 120 cm high and about 60 cm wide. The plant stems are practically thornless.

Flowers 10–12 cm in diameter have a goblet shape and contain an average of about 35 petals. The bud color varies from dark pink with a lilac tint to bright crimson. The flowers are usually arranged singly on peduncles.

The plant is a repeat-flowering variety with a strong fragrance. The variety shows high resistance to diseases and rain, but needs protection from spring frosts.
