The variety belongs to the hybrid tea rose group and was obtained through interspecific hybridization. The flowers have a cup-shaped form and reach 9–13 cm in diameter. They are full, numbering from 45 to 50 petals, and are situated on the stems singly.

The buds of the variety are characterized by a dark red, almost black color and a slow opening process. The color of the fully opened flowers is dark red, with the central part of the flower being lighter. The fragrance of the variety is described as rich, characteristic of old tea roses.
