The bush of the Kodály Zoltán emléke variety reaches a height of 70–80 cm and has a wide spreading shape. The foliage is small, glossy, dark green, and can take on a burgundy hue by autumn. Flowers with a diameter of about 5 cm are gathered in clusters of 15–20 buds and have a weak fragrance.

The variety is repeat-flowering and characterized by abundant blooming. The plant possesses resistance to drought and frosts down to –21...–23 °C, as well as moderate resistance to powdery mildew, black spot, and rust. Fruit formation is possible after flowering.

The variety is adapted to complex climatic conditions and requires an average level of care. It is suitable for group and solitary plantings, creating hedges, and cultivation in containers.
