The Kordaelf variety, known under the commercial name Magma or Magma Freelander, belongs to the hybrid tea rose group. The plant forms a compact bush 100 to 150 cm in height with strong, resilient stems.

Flowers with a diameter of 10–15 cm have a double structure with about 45 petals. The coloration is described as amber-yellow with red or orange-red flushes on the petal edges. The variety has a rich tea rose fragrance.

The cultivar is characterized by high disease resistance and frost hardiness. Due to its morphological characteristics, the variety is specially adapted for use as cut flower production, possessing high vase life and a reduced number of thorns.
