The variety, registered under the breeding code Korflüg, is best known in literature under the trade name Flamingo. Synonyms Veronica, Veronika, Margaret Thatcher, and Porcelain are also encountered. The variety was obtained as a result of crossing a seedling with the variety Lady Like.

The plant belongs to the group of hybrid tea roses. The flowers have a salmon-pink color, reminiscent of the color of flamingo plumage, and possess a light fragrance. Due to its belonging to this group, the variety is considered suitable for cutting and is used in ornamental gardening.
