The variety belongs to the hybrid tea rose group. The bush is upright, vigorous, reaching a height of 70–150 cm and a width of 60–80 cm. The foliage is dark green, glossy, with a reddish-brown tint on young shoots.

Flowers with a diameter of 10–13 cm have a cup-shaped conical form and dark red, sometimes with a black sheen, coloration. They are double, contain 35–55 petals, and are located mainly singly on long stems. The variety is characterized by a light or medium fragrance.

The plant is repeat-flowering. It possesses sturdy shoots resistant to lodging and winter hardiness down to -23°C (USDA zone 6). Resistance to black spot and powdery mildew is rated as medium.
