The Korhassi variety (synonyms Hansaland, Charles Notcutt) is a vigorous spreading shrub 1.5–2 meters in height. The plant's shoots are stiff, upright, and covered with a large number of thorns. The foliage is lush green, glossy, with the wrinkling characteristic of the rugosa group.

The flowers of the variety are semi-double, 6–10 cm in diameter, have a deep red or bright carmine hue, and a weak fragrance. The variety is repeat-flowering, with abundant blooming continuing from early June until frost. The flowers have good self-cleaning properties.

The plant possesses high frost resistance, is adapted for USDA zone 3, and is resistant to drought and fungal diseases. The variety does not require annual pruning or special winter cover, and is suitable for creating hedges and mass landscaping.
