The Kortikel variety (commercial name Golden Holstein) belongs to the floribunda group. The flowers have a bright yellow color, sometimes with a pinkish tint, and possess a fragrance. The bush height varies from 60 to 150 cm.

The plant is characterized by resistance to fungal diseases and adverse weather conditions; in particular, the flowers retain their appearance during rain. The variety is intended for ornamental use and has been used as a parent form for breeding other rose varieties.

The variety has a number of synonyms, including Goldyla, Goldener Holstein, Kordes' Rose Golden Holstein, KORtickel and Surprise.
