The LENWHI variety is registered under the trade name White Spray. During the breeding process to obtain this variety, hybridization involving wild rose species, in particular Rosa multiflora var. adenochaeta, was used.

The variety belongs to the hybrid musk rose group. Characteristic features of the breeding program of the Louis Lens Roses nursery, to which this variety belongs, are high resistance to diseases, including black spot and powdery mildew, low maintenance, winter hardiness, and profuse flowering.
