The variety is a selection of Rosa multiflora and is not intended for ornamental cultivation. It is used as a rootstock for grafting commercial rose varieties under greenhouse conditions.

The main economic characteristic is resistance to root-lesion nematodes of the species Pratylenchus vulnus. The rootstock is considered a "poor host" for this parasite, which contributes to a reduction in nematode population in the soil compared to traditional rootstocks.

In the first years after planting, the rootstock ensures a high flower yield; however, after two years of cultivation, grafted roses may show a more pronounced decrease in flowering productivity compared to some other rootstocks.
