The variety belongs to the park rose group and is a seedling of 'Applejack' obtained through open pollination. Its pedigree includes Rosa rubiginosa, Rosa laxa, and hybrid tea roses. The plant forms a vigorous, upright shrub 150–200 cm tall, which can be grown as a climbing form if provided with support. The previous year's shoots are red-brown, while older ones are gray. The leaves are medium-sized, blue-green, and matte. Thorns are large, with a wide base, and are sparsely distributed.

Flowering is once-blooming, occurring on the previous year's shoots in June–July and lasting about 3–4 weeks. The flowers have a red or pinkish color. The variety is characterized by high endurance to cold, wet, and windy climatic conditions, as well as resistance to rain. It is used in landscaping as a park rose.
