The variety belongs to the hybrid tea rose group and is a sport of the Leonidas variety. The plant forms an upright bush 60–75 cm in height. Foliage is dense, semi-glossy, consisting of five leaflets; young shoots have a reddish-brown tint.

Flowers are brick-red with orange-red buds, large, 12–14 cm in diameter, have a classic shape with a high center, and contain 17–25 petals. Fragrance is absent. The variety is repeat-flowering; the blooming period lasts from June to September.

The plant possesses good resistance to powdery mildew and black spot. It belongs to USDA hardiness zone 6 and requires frost protection in cold climates.
