The flowers of the variety have a copper-apricot color with a golden-yellow reverse, reaching 8–10 cm in diameter. They are semi-double, with a cluster of red stamens clearly visible in the center.
The plant is a tall shrub, reaching 2–3 meters, and can reach 4 meters when grown on a support. The variety is characterized by winter hardiness (USDA hardiness zone 5) and the ability to grow on poor soils.
Flowering is once-blooming, but very early, occurring before most other roses. It is used in landscape design for solitary and group plantings, as well as for growing on supports.
