The flowers of the Summer Lodge variety are striped, with an iridescent coloring combining purple, terracotta, orange, and yellow. They are semi-double, 6–8 cm in diameter, consist of 9–15 petals, and are gathered in inflorescences of 5–10 flowers. The fragrance of the flowers is mild and spicy.
The plant is a vigorous bush 100–150 cm tall and about 80 cm wide with upright, thorny shoots. Flowering is abundant, repeat, and practically continuous.
The variety has high resistance to powdery mildew and black spot and tolerates rain well. It belongs to USDA hardiness zone 6.
