The variety belongs to the group of compact floribundas or shrub roses. The plant forms a compact bush 20 to 40 cm in height. The variety was developed for cultivation in 2–3 liter containers and for use as a bedding plant.

The flowers have a dark red color and a semi-double structure with a petal count from 15 to 25, sometimes reaching 55–65. The flower shape resembles a Tudor rose with a quartered center. The fragrance is light, similar to the scent of a wild rose.
