Variety description

The variety has the trade names Courage and Roland Koch. During the breeding process, it was obtained by crossing the variety Poulart with an unnamed seedling. It belongs to the hybrid tea roses, although it is classified as a floribunda in a number of sources. Suitable for gardens, parks, and cut flowers.

Flowers are double, 8–14 cm in diameter, with more than 25 petals, and have a medium or light fragrance. Foliage is dark green, glossy; young shoots may have a reddish tint. The bush is upright, thorny, with sturdy shoots.

The plant is repeat-flowering, blooming from early summer until frost, forming solitary flowers or inflorescences of up to 10. The variety is characterized as relatively resistant to diseases, heat, and rain. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zone 6.
