Variety description

The variety belongs to the Hybrid-Rugosa group and was obtained by crossing Rosa rugosa and Rosa virginiana. The plant forms a dense spreading shrub 80 to 120 cm tall. Annual shoots are practically devoid of thorns; foliage is light green at a young age.

Flowering is abundant, occurring from May to July; the flowers have a simple shape and an intense pink color. In August–September, decorative spherical flattened fruits of bright scarlet color ripen, suitable for culinary use.

The variety is characterized as fully winter-hardy and resistant to diseases. The plant adapts well to poor soils, does not require complex pruning, and is suitable for landscaping public and private areas, as well as cultivation in containers.
