The variety has the trade names CentrO-Rose, Red Mirato, and Chateau Merlot. The plant forms a low, dense, arching bush. The flowers, 5–6 cm in diameter, contain from 9 to 22 petals and are gathered in large inflorescences of 5–10 buds each. The flower fragrance is weak; the foliage is glossy with a light green hue.
Flowering is recurrent, abundant, and continuous throughout the season. The variety possesses high resistance to black spot and powdery mildew. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zone 6, which allows it to withstand frosts down to -23°C. The plant is used for creating borders, hedges, and groundcover plantings.
