The plant forms a broad, rounded bush 80 to 150 cm in height with stiff, thorny shoots and dense, glossy dark green foliage. Globular buds open into cupped flowers 5–8 cm in diameter, containing about 40–50 petals. A single peduncle usually carries from 5 to 10 or more flowers.
Flowering occurs in waves from June to late autumn. The variety possesses high winter hardiness and resistance to leaf spot. Due to the high density of the inflorescences, the flowers can be sensitive to prolonged precipitation. It is used in landscape design and is suitable for group plantings, standard form cultivation, and cut flowers.
