The Zilga rose variety is a Rosa rugosa hybrid with a height of 0.7 to 1.0 m. The flowers are pink with a purple tint, semi-double, 6–7 cm in size, and gathered in inflorescences of 5–11 pieces. The variety is repeat-flowering, blooms almost continuously from June until frost, has a delicate fragrance, and produces fruits.

The Zilga grape variety is a multipurpose variety with a very early maturity group (102–108 days). Frost resistance is up to -25°C...-30°C. The plant has high resistance to fungal diseases. The berries are blue, large, with mucilaginous pulp and a strawberry aroma; they are used for fresh consumption, making juices, and winemaking.
