The cultivar is a hybrid of Rubus arcticus and Rubus stellatus. The plant is a low-growing creeping perennial 10–30 cm in height, forming a dense carpet. Shoots are thornless, foliage is bright green, turning burgundy shades in autumn. Flowers are pink.
Fruiting occurs in July-August. Berries are bright red, with a sweet or sweet-tart taste. To obtain a yield, cross-pollination with other cultivars is necessary. The plant prefers sunny or semi-shaded sites with humus-rich drained soils and is characterized by exceptional frost resistance.
