A summer-bearing variety with an early or mid-early flowering and ripening period. The bush forms semi-erect canes of medium or large height. There is a small number of dark spines on the canes; laterals are short or medium in length. Good ability to form replacement canes is noted.

The fruits are distinguished by a balanced taste and aroma. Historically, the variety was classified as susceptible to the large raspberry aphid and sensitive to certain viral diseases. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, processing, and freezing. Currently, the variety is preserved in genetic resource collections.
