Variety description

10 August 2026

Loganberry is a hybrid of blackberry and raspberry with a sprawling, trailing bush and arched shoots 1.5–4 m long. The berries are elongated-conical, wine-red in color, weighing 8–10 g, and ripen in July-August. The plant requires trellising and covering in cold regions, as it withstands frosts down to –15°C.

Boysenberry is a complex hybrid of blackberry, raspberry, and loganberry with trailing shoots. Its very large, dark burgundy berries have a soft texture and thin skin, which hinders their storage and transportation. Tayberry is distinguished by the sweeter and sharper taste of its bright red berries, which are larger than those of Loganberry.

Phenomenal berry is a second-generation hybrid obtained by crossing various blackberry and raspberry hybrids with each other. All the listed plants are dessert crops that require careful manual harvesting and are officially classified as separate breeding forms.
