The variety is a hybrid of Rubus occidentalis with the introgression of traits from the red raspberry Rubus idaeus, which makes the plant completely thornless. The bush is distinguished by vigorous growth and a more upright shape compared to traditional varieties, which facilitates training on a trellis.
The variety is mid-season, and the harvest period coincides with the 'Jewel' variety. Fruiting occurs on the lateral shoots of biennial canes. The berries are large, weighing up to 4.5 g, deep black in color, of medium density, and have an intense flavor characteristic of the species.
The plant is adapted to USDA zones 5–8. To ensure high productivity, the use of a trellis, loose fertile soils, and good drainage are recommended. The produce is suitable for both fresh consumption and all types of processing.
