The Claudia variety is a medium-sized standard Saintpaulia hybrid intended for pot cultivation. The plant features single blue flowers and medium-green leaves. This variety belongs to the commercial hybrids created for mass production and global distribution.
In literature, the Claudia variety is sometimes associated with the name Alice and is mentioned in scientific studies of protoplasts. There is also a Rhapsodie Claudia variety, which is a separate breeding form with ruffled bicolor pink flowers and dark-green leaves, which differs from the characteristics of the base Claudia variety.
