The Saintpaulia variety «Mariko» belongs to the category of standard industrial varieties intended for commercial floriculture. The plant forms a medium-sized rosette with medium-green colored leaves.

The flowers of the variety are simple, red in color. The plant is adapted to serial production and standard indoor growing conditions, suitable for cultivation in pots with a diameter of about 10 cm.

The variety possesses the ability to transmit its traits when propagated by leaf cuttings, however, like other Saintpaulias, it may show a tendency to sport.
