Variety description

The plant has lanceolate or ovate, serrated, wrinkled, gray-green or dark green leaves with slight pubescence. Dense, slender spike-like inflorescences consist of two-lipped flowers of a deep pink shade.
Flowering continues from spring to autumn; repeat flowering is possible when faded inflorescences are pruned. The variety has high winter hardiness, is adapted to USDA zones 3–8, and is heat and drought tolerant after establishment.
Prefers sunny sites with well-drained, moderately fertile soils. Used in landscape design for mixed borders, borders, rock gardens, and container gardening; attracts pollinating insects.
