The variety has a compact habit and reaches a height of 15 to 40 cm. The inflorescences are most often intensely red; however, a raspberry-pink variation of the variety is also found in commercial offerings.

The plant is used for decorating flower beds, borders, and edgings, as well as for cultivation in containers and balcony boxes. The flowering period lasts from July to October; the variety does not require staking.
