Variety description

The plant is a semi-evergreen or deciduous shrub with an upright, dense habit, reaching a height of 45 to 100 cm. Leaves are oval, aromatic, veined, and medium green in color. The two-lipped flowers are gathered in upright raceme inflorescences; the upper lip is purple-crimson, the lower is pale pink or salmon-pink with a cream tint.
The variety is drought-tolerant and heat-loving; it requires protection in regions with cold winters. Flowering continues from summer to autumn. To maintain the shape of the bush, pruning by 1/3 or up to 2/3 of the height is recommended in late winter or early spring. The plant prefers well-drained soils and is a honey plant, attracting bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
