The variety Disanimpaz, known under the commercial name Impr. Aztekengold, is a trailing type plant. It is characterized by vigorous growth and abundant tillering.

In scientific literature, there are discussions regarding the taxonomic classification of the variety. Despite its inclusion in the Sanvitalia procumbens group in commercial catalogs, a number of sources point to a possible genetic affinity with Melampodium montanum.
