Variety description

The New Wonder variety is a low-growing herbaceous plant that forms a trailing mat about 30 cm high and up to 150 cm wide. Leaves are medium-green, soft, almost succulent, with large teeth along the edges.

The flowers have a characteristic fan-shaped form and are colored violet-blue with a yellow throat. Flowering begins earlier than in the parent variety Blue Wonder and continues from spring until the end of summer.

The plant possesses increased resistance to Pythium root rot and Verticillium wilt. It prefers well-drained soils, full sun or partial shade, is sensitive to waterlogging, and tolerates heat well with regular watering.
