The plant has woody tissues and palmately compound leaves with pointed tips. Under indoor conditions, the height can reach from 90 to 260 cm depending on age and growing conditions. In the process of development, it may form small berry-like fruits.

The variety is used for decorative purposes for interior landscaping. The plant is hardy and capable of growing both in bright diffused light and in partial shade. It is sensitive to excessive watering, which can lead to root rot. The sap of the plant can cause irritation upon contact with the skin.
