The flowers of the variety are distinguished by a bright salmon-red color with a characteristic white base of the petals.

The stems of the plant consist of wide phylloclades with forward-pointing teeth. The lateral teeth are weakly developed and rudimentary, while the apical teeth are significantly more pronounced.
