The variety is a population winter form, characterized by short- to medium-height and good lodging resistance. The plant possesses high resistance to Rhynchosporium, powdery mildew and low susceptibility to ergot infection.
The grain has a high protein content and high feed value. The variety is suitable for producing food-grade grain and for silage cultivation, including on poor soils. It is also used as a pollinator component in mixtures with hybrid rye varieties.
