The plant is a low-growing shrub reaching a height of up to 30 cm, with upright or slightly branched stems. The main decorative feature is the pointed, cylindrical leaves with a characteristic silvery-white felt covering, which is why the species is called the "cocoon plant".
This species is used as an ornamental foliage potted plant for interior landscaping and container arrangements. The crop requires good lighting and high-quality drainage, while the felt pubescence of the leaves requires careful handling as it is easily damaged by water or physical contact.
