The plant forms a dense basal rosette of narrow lanceolate dark green leaves. The height of the flower stalks is 60–75 cm, and depending on growing conditions, it can reach 90 cm. Flowers about 3 cm in diameter are gathered in loose inflorescences on thin stems.
Flowering occurs in June–July; under favorable conditions, it may begin in late May. Pruning the flower stalks after the first flowering stimulates the re-emergence of flowers in late summer or early autumn. The variety is winter-hardy (USDA zone 5, down to -30 °C), prefers sunny spots or partial shade and moist, well-drained soils.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
